A study of prescription errors in South Indian City, Karnataka- An observational study

A prescription is a written order to provide instructions regarding patient medications by the physician. Prescription include directions for pharmacist dispense medication, administration of drugs. Patient demographics and prescriber details are legal requirements writing. An observational study was conducted data collection forms were used collect information from patient. Confidentiality maintained secure information, details, throughout study. All prescriptions analyzed general medical components, requirements. Poly-therapy observed 73 prescriptions. Most did not provided description on direction usage medications. Our highlights need train prescribing doctors writing rational quality improvement.
